Nottingham Forest are continuing to add to their squad, and that trend shows no signs of slowing down.

Having just announced the arrival of Pele from Monaco, they could be back in the market for yet another deadline day deal.

Sky Sports is reporting that the Championship outfit are keen on bringing in defender Alexander Milosevic to the City Ground.

If a deal for the 27-year-old is not completed today, then there is no harm in that as he is currently a free agent, and players unattached are able to move freely outside of the transfer windows.

Having left AIK Fotboll at the end of December, the Sweden international has been without a club and was previously linked with Forest's divisional rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

If he were to move to the Midlands, he would be the club’s third January signing after Yohan Benalouane moved for Leicester and the fresh arrival of attacker Pele.

The verdict

This would be a pretty solid bit of business, and on a free, too.

Having been without a club for almost a month, it would be a low-risk, fairly inexpensive signing for a player of international quality.

Considering Forest have been unbelievably active this season regarding addition, Milosevic would certainly add to their defensive options.

If you ask me, it would be a typical Martin O’Neill signing.
