Nottingham Forest have made a positive start to this year's league campaign as they look to make a long-awaited return to the top-flight this term.

The Reds are currently sat fifth in the Championship table and will be full of confidence for when they return to action after the international break.

Sabri Lamouchi's side take on Bristol City next week, and will be looking to make it three wins from their last three games after victories over Luton Town and fierce local rivals Derby County.

Lewis Grabban's goal proved to be the difference between Forest and the Rams, and the goal was Grabban's seventh of the season in all competitions.

The 31-year-old has been a regular in the starting XI for Nottingham Forest, which is understandable given his impressive goal record so far this season.

But Grabban's consistently impressive performances have meant that one Forest forward has had to make do with a place on the substitutes bench for much of this year's campaign.

Rafa Mir is that player, and the 22-year-old will surely cut a frustrated figure at the moment, as he's only featured in ten games so far this term.

But Mir has been restricted to just one league start for the Reds, and will surely use the international break as a chance to impress Lamouchi in training ahead of their next game against Bristol City.

The on-loan Wolves striker won't have moved to the City Ground to be used as a substitute this season, but he'll know that he has to take the next chance that is presented to him by the Forest boss.

With the festive period approaching though, it could be the perfect opportunity for Mir to stake a strong claim for a regular starting spot.

It seems highly unlikely that Lamouchi will change his formation much this season, especially when Forest are winning games with one up-front.

Nottingham Forest's recent performance have certainly caught the eye, and they'll be up there if they can continue to impress as the season progresses.

It's important that Sabri Lamouchi keeps the majority of his squad content with their game time, otherwise it could disrupt the atmosphere in the dressing room.
