After a pretty wild 2018/19 campaign, Nottingham Forest players and fans alike will be dusting themselves down and unwinding ahead of next season.

It was another eventful season on Trentside with Martin O'Neill replacing Aitor Karanka at the City Ground, and despite missing out on a play-off finish, three wins in their final three league games showed signs of improvement.

Now, the players will be looking to relax before another long season, where promotion will definitely be the aim for the East Midlands side.

They have been sharing updates on their summer breaks across social media, and here, we round them all up one in place...

Tendayi Darikwa

There has been no rest for Tendayi Darikwa since the end of the season, with the defender jetting off to South Africa as preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations get underway.

The right-back posted a picture of himself in South Africa, ahead of Zimbabwe's COSAFA Cup campaign.

The national side defeated Comoros by two goals to nil on Saturday afternoon, where he picked up an assist as well as a clean sheet.

He will prepare to play one of the best players in the world, with Zimbabwe set to play Mo Salah's Egypt in the opening game of the competition.

Yohan Benalouane

The man in the mask clearly has other loves away from superheroes.

The defender has recently been in Italy attending a car rally, and showed his love for all things Fiat 500 and Bugatti on his Instagram page.

The Tunisian also shared his love for his current hometown, with street artists from Nottingham painting his name on a wall.

Joao Carvalho

After what would have been a hugely frustrating season for the club's record signing last time out, fans will be hoping that Carvalho returns to the City Ground firmly in O'Neill's plans next season.

The Portuguese midfielder is currently enjoying much-needed downtime with his partner in Menorca, with a fabulous view in the background.

The attacking midfielder has also been pictured with a lilo ahead of some fun on the beach, as well as being called the new "King of the Beach".

Michael Hefele

Hefele is enduring quite a different summer compared to Benalouane and Carvalho, as the defender continues to recover from a long-term injury.

The German defender hasn't made an appearance for the Reds since New Year's Day, and has posted an update of his recovery routine.

With Joe Worrall returning to the City Ground, Hefele will be praying that he returns sooner rather than later.
