Tyrese Fornah has posted a message to Nottingham Forest fans on social media, after returning to action for the Reds' Under-23s at the City Ground on Tuesday afternoon.

The 20-year-old made his first-team debut for the Reds at the weekend, when he appeared as a substitute for the 2-0 defeat at Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.

The highly-rated midfielder has been a key player for the Under-23s since joining the Reds in 2018, but he was finally handed the chance to make his senior debut for Forest, as head coach Sabri Lamouchi decided to give a number of his youngsters a chance.

Fornah replaced Alfa Semedo midway through the second half at Stamford Bridge and impressed with his performance, showing why he is one of the most highly-rated young players at the club.

The youngster was back in action for the Under-23s on Tuesday afternoon though and he helped inspire the team to a 2-1 win over Burnely at the City Ground, as they returned to the top of the Professional Development League.

Following the game, Fornah took to Twitter to reflect on the past few days. He admitted that it was great to be back in action with his teammates and that he was pleased to help the side return to the top of the table.
