It's been a pretty intriguing season for Nottingham Forest so far with them showing that they can perform to the levels needed to get in the play-offs.

For sure, when the Reds get things together and firing they look pretty hard to stop but they need to make sure they temper that with defensive qualities - hence the reason Liam Bridcutt was signed.

Certainly, Bridcutt has started pretty well for Forest this season and looks to have settled in with him offering his 'Ultimate XI' up for viewing via the club's official Twitter account:

A side comprised of the best players he admires, it's a team riddled with class with the likes of Zinedine Zidane and Lionel Messi making the list but, interestingly enough, he's also got a Championship rival in there - John Terry.

The former Chelsea captain was of course one of the best defenders of his generation and signed for Villa in the summer after his Blues' contract expired.

He's beginning to have an influence on the Villa side now, too, with him captain and them in good form so, for Bridcutt and his team-mates, his lead-by-example approach is something they could want to emulate as they aim for the top six.

The Verdict

We're all aware of what John Terry has done in his career as a player and he'll certainly be looking help Villa get promoted this season to add that to his CV.

Bridcutt, and undoubtedly many others in the Championship, clearly admire him, too, and they should try to use that to excel when their sides come up against him.
