Nottingham Forest owners make decision with regards to Philippe Montanier

Published

Nottingham Forest boss Philippe Montanier is to be given time to prove himself by the new potential owners according to the Sun.

John Jay Moores, the leader of the US consortium buying the club, has made the decision to give the French boss time to pick up better results and be the man to push the Reds up the league table.

Montanier has had a mixed time at the City Ground so far with the East Midlands club lacking any consistency needed to help them challenge for a place in the top half of the table.

Admittedly, the former Real Sociedad boss has been unlucky with injuries with some key players out injured and the new owners look like they understand the difficulties he has had to overcome in this department.

It was reported that the new owners were ready to make a hugely ambitious move for Burnley boss Sean Dyche but that is a deal that looks hugely unlikely considering his position at the moment.

With the takeover imminent at the City Ground, it looks as if Philippe Montanier will be the man to lead the Reds and spend any available funds in the January transfer window.

Nottingham Forest fans… Should Montanier get a chance under the new owners? If not, who should replace him? Has Montanier just been unlucky with injuries? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
