Nottingham Forest need to be keeping tabs on this leading light from their local rivals

If you had to consider who might have the most exciting potential squad in the Championship, Nottingham Forest would surely be in many people’s lists.

Though the Tricky Trees were nearly relegated last season, they have bounced back this year with some superb attacking football and the only thing keeping them back now is consistency.

For a Forest side dotted with superb young players, though, that will surely come with experience and we think Mark Warburton should only be looking to add to this brilliant exuberance.

With that in mind, then, it’s time Forest look at local rivals Mansfield’s leading attacking light Danny Rose.

It’s often forgotten that League Two has plenty of top young players just waiting for their break and Rose, with six goals in eleven games in all competitions this season, is one of the best.

But, it’s not only the goals that could make him a hit at Forest, it’s his playing style that would really make him fit in seamlessly.

The Reds are very fluid in attack with the likes of Barrie McKay, Zach Clough, Ben Brereton and others all capable of playing and contributing across the attacking line.

And Rose, with his movement in the penalty area and ability to nick goals, would surely benefit from that with pockets of space in the box opening up for him to exploit and score from.

And, with him of similar age to the likes of McKay and Brereton, he’d surely improve alongside them as Forest look to become a real force in the coming seasons.
