Nottingham Forest midfielder Samba Sow weighs in on player debate

Published

Nottingham Forest midfielder Samba Sow has revealed that he thinks Brice Samba has been the club’s signing of the season.

Boss Sabri Lamouchi has been blessed this season with a number of players in his first team who have been superb.

The likes of Matty Cash, Joe Worrall and Lewis Grabban have all been key, whilst summer arrivals on Sow and Samba have been impressive too.

Sow arrived at Forest from Dynamo Moscow last summer and he has been playing to a high level since, featuring alongside Ben Watson in the two holding midfield role’s at the City Ground.

Where is Andy Reid from?

Keeper Samba was another new signing in pre-season, joining the English club from French side Caen – and he is arguably the most consistent shot stopper in the Championship this term.

Following Sow’s tweet, Brice Samba also got involved in the debate:

The verdict

Both Sow and Samba have been excellent this season, but I would hand it to the former at this current time.

His inclusion in Lamouchi’s starting eleven is a must and massively important for their success. They have just lost once of the 17 games he has played in the league, which says it all.

Samba has been excellent though and he has made the number one spot at the City Ground his own this term, so both players, and the recruitment team, deserve plenty of plaudits.
