Nottingham Forest youngster Matty Cash says he is 'raring to go' when he returns to the Forest line-up in the coming weeks after finally recovering from an injury which has seen him not involved so far this term.

In a report for the Nottingham Post, the young Reds midfielder has spoken of his desire to return from the treatment table and get back onto the field, and says he is more than ready to get back into action under Mark Warburton.

"I have been doing my rehab programme alongside Jamie Ward for the last three or four weeks,” said the midfielder.

“We were back out on the grass on the same day, and with Vaughany as well."

Cash was gutted to pick up the injury in the summer following an impressive pre-season campaign, and he is looking forward to getting back into the action, adding:

“Things had been going well in pre-season and I was really looking forward to starting the campaign. It was a massive blow for me. But I have worked hard on my rehab and I have set a good level of base fitness in pre-season, so when I come back I should be the same and raring to go.”

Forest return after the international break with their local derby against rivals Derby County, and Cash will no doubt be hoping to have a bearing upon the game.
