Nottingham Forest midfielder Adlene Guedioura has revealed that he is loving life in the East Midlands as he looks to help the side to promotion.

The Algerian is in his second spell at the City Ground and is an important part of Aitor Karanka's plans, with the Spaniard building a squad that looks capable of winning promotion.

And, Guedioura told Nottingham Live that he is very happy with life both on and off the pitch.

"It is a place close to my heart. It is the same for my family.

"I am looking to buy a home here; I want to establish myself in Nottingham because I love this city. I have always been in love with Nottingham since I arrived here, which is why I always wanted to come back."

The former Wolves man has played 13 times for the Reds this season and will hope to continue in midfield when Forest return to action against Hull next week.

Karanka's men went into the international break in seventh position, just one point away from the play-offs and four behind second place in what is a very competitive division.

The Verdict

This is great for Forest fans to read and they will be delighted to see how much Guedioura loves the city.

Finding the right balance off the pitch can help players on it and it seems that the 33-year-old is in a very good place now.

However, it's all about helping the side to promotion and getting the side back to the Premier League will ensure he's a firm favourite in Nottingham for years to come.
