Nottingham Forest's Gil Dias could be set to leave the club to join Greek giants Olympiacos after a tough spell at the City Ground.
The Portuguese winger signed for the Reds on a season-long loan from Monaco in the summer but he has struggled to make a positive impact.
And, reports from Greek media outlet SDNA suggest he is a target for Olympiacos who are connected to the East Midlands outfit through owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Therefore, a potential switch does make a lot of sense and could go ahead in this window.
However, previous reports suggested that Forest were keen to keep hold of Dias and any decision now would be made without the club having a permanent manager in place.
Martin O'Neill is expected to take charge within the next 24 hours and he obviously hasn't had a chance to assess the squad first-hand yet.
Altogether Dias has played 20 league games for Forest and hasn't managed to score or create a goal in that time, although many of those appearances were as a substitute.
He failed to make the matchday squad for the 2-0 defeat at Reading on Saturday.
The Verdict
You would think that O'Neill would want a chance to look at Dias before sanctioning a move but from the season so far it would make sense to let him go.
The 22-year-old arrived with a lot of hype but he hasn't delivered at all and Forest fans are extremely frustrated with his displays.
Unless something significant changes then he's unlikely to play under the new boss and you wouldn't be surprised to see him go.
