Nottingham Forest's 0-0 draw with Burton Albion on Saturday saw their goalscoring woes continue but the clean sheet was impressive given the fact that they had to play for over an hour with ten men.

Eric Lichaj's first half dismissal for a reckless challenge left Aitor Karanka's men with an uphill battle but they managed to hold out with a makeshift back four to earn a share of the spoils.

Danny Fox had to fill in at centre half and was instrumental in keeping the Brewers out and he was full of praise for the character he and his team mates showed and called on them to do so on a more regular basis as the season draws on.

He told the Nottingham Post: "You have to take positives from things and there are positives to take here. We have another game in a few days and we need to go into that fresh now.

We need three points on Tuesday and we need to look to build an unbeaten run. The season is coming to an end and we need to finish strongly.

"To help us attract players to come here next season and in order for the manager and players to get confidence in each other. I am enjoying playing and working under the gaffer.

"He is quite a reserved man with the media, but he is a very good manager and he wants us all to be together. He was delighted with us after the game.

"He said he was proud of us. But we have to kick on; we have to start getting results. Nothing else matters more."

The Verdict

Forest dug in well but Fox is right - that spirit has to be converted into wins as I don't think Forest are safe just yet.

They need to take the performance on and build on it because in isolation, a point against the bottom side isn't a great result if the others that follow don't match up.
