Nottingham Forest left-back Jack Robinson is confident that the side will continue to improve even though they failed to win again on Saturday.

The Reds were held to a goalless draw at Swansea on Saturday, which means they still have just one win so far in the Championship, from seven games.

Yet, Aitor Karanka's men have still only lost once, although it's still not good enough considering the money spent by Forest in pre-season.

However, Robinson told the Nottingham Post that patience was always going to be required after such a high number of arrivals this summer:

"It is just that consistency. We have got so many new players, it can be hard when you first come in, to immediately get to know them as players and how they play."

The former Liverpool man reckons that they were unfortunate not to collect all three points in Wales and is targeting six points from upcoming games against Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham at the City Ground:

"The more games we play together, the better we will be. We have two home games coming up now and we have an opportunity to prove exactly that. If we can take this performance level into those home games, we will beat teams easily."

The Verdict

You have to agree with Robinson in that it was always going to take time for Forest with the number of new signings, although fans would be right to expect more.

They showed signs on Saturday that they were moving in the right direction against a decent Swansea side, but it's about wins now.

As the left-back explains, they have two huge games coming up and they will expect six points which could be the catalyst for this side to kick-on.
