Nottingham Forest's start to the season has not been the best, with the club sitting in mid-table following inconsistent results and performances.

The Reds were expected to be one of the top dogs in the Championship this term after an exciting summer saw them bring in a whole host of new players and big name signings.

However, things have struggled to quite come togerther as yet, and defender Jack Robinson believes the level of expectation on the club if having an effect on the players.

“I enjoy the manager’s work ethic. He is very driven, he has high goals for this season, as we all do,” Robinson told the Nottingham Post. “It is his ambition. That is the reason I came here. Not just this season but going forward.

“He wants to get into the Premier League. There is that kind of ambition around the whole club.W e are struggling with those expectations a little bit, right now. But it is early in the season so we have time to improve on that and I think we will. It has been felt around the dressing room. It has not been a massive issue. But with the signings we have made and the money that has been spent, the pressure comes from outside as well.

Robinson has featured nine times for the Reds this term, and he will no doubt be hoping for things to turn around quickly as he seeks to help the club towards promotion.

Forest take on high flying Middlesbrough today hoping to put right the wrongs of mid-week, where they chucked away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with Millwall at the City Ground.
