Nottingham Forest have made an enquiry for Mansfield Town midfielder Sam Clucas according to Sky Sports.
With 11 goals in 24 appearances, the 23-year-old has been one of the form players in League Two after joining from Hereford United in the summer.
Mansfield manager Paul Cox expressed in December that he was determined to keep his star man.
“We are working hard to keep our best players, but money talks,” Cox said.
“I have been in the game a long time and I know that if one of the big clubs comes in with an offer then we have to listen.”
Sam Clucas is one player who has benefited from the Glenn Hoddle Academy. They got his career back on track in 2010 after he was released by Lincoln City. The move enabled him to appear for Spanish club, Jerez Industrial.
