According to The Sun, Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton wants to make Gillingham midfielder Josh Wright his first summer signing.
Josh Wright’s impressive performances in central midfield have caught the eye in a disappointing season for the Gills and he might earn a move to Nottingham Forest.
After starting his career with Charlton, Josh Wright has gone on to represent Scunthorpe United, Millwall and Leyton Orient before joining Gillingham in 2015.
The 27-year-old’s contract with Gillingham lasts until summer 2018 so Nottingham Forest could swoop and get him for as little as £100,000 this summer, according to The Sun.
Josh Wright could be named as Mark Warburton’s first summer signing as he looks to put his own personal stamp on this Nottingham Forest side.
Warburton was appointed as the new Nottingham Forest manager two weeks ago and his first task is to keep them afloat in the Championship.
However, he has already identified Wright as a potential summer addition.
