Nottingham Forest linked with move to re-sign defender

Championship side Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move to re-sign former defender Luke Chambers, according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

The 31-year-old is captain of Ipswich Town, and can play centre back or at right back. With his contract set to expire this summer, Forest are hoping to bring him in on the cheap.

Chambers has made over 200 appearances after joining Ipswich from Forest in 2012, having made 205 appearances at the City Ground before leaving.

Forest are currently manager-less and are desperately looking to improve a back line rated as the worst in the league, having conceded 47 times already this year.

They play Rotherham United at home tonight in a big, big game for the Reds.

Chambers would be an astute signing for the Reds and would add solidity and know-how to the Forest backline.

Forest fans… What do you make of this news? Do you want Chambers back? Do you need improvement¬†in your back line? Let us know in the comments below!
