Nottingham Forest have reportedly joined the race to sign Chesterfield teenager Dylan Hand.

In a report by the Nottingham Post, it is claimed Forest are to go head to head with the likes of Burnley and Southampton to seal the signing of the impressive young defender, who is yet to turn 18 and even make an appearance for the Spireites.

However, he has impressed for the under-23's, and there is now plenty of interest in the teenager as clubs look to beat each other to the signatures of the countries top talent.

Hand has only been with the Derbyshire based club for just over a year, but could already be on his way out and Nottingham Forest will be hoping to use their ties with former player Jack Lester - now in charge of Chesterfield - to potentially negotiate a deal for the youngster.

It remains to be seen though if Hand will decide to stay on with Chesterfield or get a move. If Forest or other Premier League clubs come into the fold, then it will surely be hard for Hand to turn down a move away from the club.

The Verdict

The youngster is no doubt an impressive player given the interest in him, and Chesterfield will no doubt be gutted to lose an impressive youngster.

The club will no doubt be hoping for some sort of compensation if he does move on.

Forest fans, what do you think? Know much about Hand? Let us know!
