Nottingham Forest are closing in on a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, according to the Nottingham Post.
Forest boss Mark Warburton is close to making Rangers winger Barrie McKay his second summer signing, joining striker Jason Cummings at the club.
But it is believed that the current Liverpool and former Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan is also edging closer to a move to the The City Ground with the Hungarian international set for talks.
Despite already having talented youngster Jordan Smith and Stephen Henderson as options in the goalkeeping department, Warburton seems keen to add another goalkeeper to the ranks with Bogdan that man.
The 29-year-old made over 100 appearances for Bolton Wanderers across the Premier League and Championship and although he has his critics, he would be an experienced figure to have in any side.
Bogdan needs consistent game time in order to re-discover his best form and the East Midlands club could be a good place for him to do this.
Current number one Jordan Smith can find himself extremely unlucky if he is to lose his place in the side after playing a hugely important role in Forest’s survival last season, but Warburton could choose to add his own players and ideas instead.
Nottingham Forest fans… Would Bogdan be a good signing? Should Smith retain the number one jersey this season? What do you make of Warburton’s business in the market so far? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
