Nottingham Forest hoping to put off Premier League giants with huge price tag placed on young star

Nottingham Forest are preparing for a fight to keep hold of youngster Ben Brereton by placing a £13m price tag on his head.

According to respected journalist Alan Nixon, the Reds are hoping to keep hold of their teenage sensation for the foreseeable future, and they believe that putting a hefty price tag on his head may well be enough to put off any potential suitors in the Premier League and beyond.

Brereton has been starting games regularly for Forest this season and has quickly developed into one of the hottest properties outside of the Premier League, putting in yet another impressive display last night as his Forest side went down 1-0 to Aston Villa.

However, with the fees which Premier League clubs seem willing to pay nowadays, the £13m could well be seen as a snip, and Forest may well still see plenty of bids piling in for their young striker.

The Reds have a history of allowing top young talent to leave, with examples such as Jermaine Jenas, Jamal Lascelles, and more recently Ollie Burke just a few of the players who have gone on to make a name for themselves after leaving the City Ground.

Forest fans, what do you think? How much is Brereton worth? Let us know in the comments!
