Nottingham Forest are reportedly in talks with Scottish Premier League outfit Rangers over the loan signing of striker Joe Dodoo, according to Express journalist Bruce Archer.
The Reds have been in the market for a couple more players for the past week or so and this new report suggests that boss Mark Warburton wants to add to his attacking arsenal.
The 22-year-old was signed by Warburton from Leicester City during his time managing the Scottish club and he is now frantically trying to get a loan deal over the line before the 11pm deadline.
Lively striker Dodoo has yet to feature in the Scottish Premier League during the 2017/18 campaign and he would probably welcome the chance to join up with Forest and play regular football.
The Ghana-born striker announced his arrival to English football in style whilst with Forest's East Midlands rivals Leicester, scoring a hat-trick in a 4-1 win over Bury in the League Cup and the Reds will hope to see some of that clinical finishing if he makes the switch to the City Ground.
Forest have made seven first-team signings so far this summer and Warburton will hope to conclude a couple more deals before this evening's window slams shut.
The Verdict
Forest have recruited pretty well this summer and one thing they have done is add youthful exuberance to the squad.
Dodoo fits in with Warburton wanting to sign young, hungry players and at 22-years-old he could turn out to be a shrewd loan signing for the East Midlands-based outfit.
