Nottingham Forest hit back at West Brom dig on social media

West Bromwich Albion and Nottingham Forest played out one of the most enthralling and entertaining Championship clashes of the season this weekend as the two sides drew 2-2 in front of a boisterous Hawthorns crowd.

Callum Robinson had previously put the Baggies 1-0 up with a well taken strike before Kyle Bartley’s unfortunate own goal levelled proceedings at the break, before Forest’s Tobias Figueiredo put through his own net to make it 2-1 to the Baggies with just under half an hour to play, before Matty Cash dramatically equalised in the 91st minute.

The result sees the Hawthorns club remain in first place with a lead of four points over second placed Leeds United, whilst Forest now sit in fifth as they picked up another crucial point in their efforts to secure promotion to the Premier League.

It is clear that the home side felt pretty hard done by after conceding an equaliser so late in the game which essentially robbed Slaven Bilic’s side of a crucial three points as it now opens the door for Leeds United to close the gap on the league leaders over the coming weeks.

Next up for West Brom is another tough league clash away to play-off chasing Bristol City as Bilic seeks to extend his side’s unbeaten run to five games in the league after three wins and one draw in their last four outings.

Meanwhile, Forest take on QPR at the City Ground on Saturday as they look to pick up their first win in three games.
