Aitor Karanka is working hard this summer, reshaping the Nottingham Forest squad that finished 17th in the Sky Bet Championship last season.

Forest really struggled last season, even after the Spaniard’s arrival at the City Ground during the second-half of the season.

As Forest stumbled to a mid-table finish, Karanka will have learnt a lot about his playing squad during the second-half of the season, which will be the reason behind his desire to overhaul this summer.

One area that needs strengthening is Karanka’s strikeforce, which underwhelmed last season.

So far this summer, Forest have been strongly linked with a number of forwards, with the Mirror (20:06, 13:38) crediting them with an interest in Patrick Bamford, Jack Marriott and Martyn Waghorn,

Here at FLW, we took to Twitter to ask Forest’s supporters who they wanted to see Karanka bring on board ahead of next season out of that impressive trio.

It appears that Forest’s supporters aren’t enthused by the prospect of Waghorn arriving, with the Ipswich Town forward only winning 8% of the vote in our poll, with Bamford and Marriott well ahead.

Marriott, who scored 33 goals for Peterborough last season, took 40% of the vote, with Bamford the man Forest’s supporters want to see Karanka sign.

The Middlesbrough ace scored 13 goals across all competitions last season and secured 52% of the vote in our poll.

Forest supporters… Would you like to see Bamford at the City Ground next season? Let us know your thoughts!
