Nottingham Forest could lose a defender before the window closes, with four teams all keen to sign Mohamed Drager as reported by journalist Walid El Mechri.

The 25-year-old has played across Europe so far in his career, featuring for Freiburg, Paderborn and then Olympiacos. After looking fairly solid for the latter of those sides and making ten appearances, he was then snapped up by Forest and given a chance at the City Ground.

However, despite signing for the Championship side over the summer, he has yet to even feature in a game for the English club. Now, with no appearances to his name, he could be on the move again only six months into his tenure at the City Ground.

That's because there are reportedly four clubs all keen to try and snap him up this month. Much like in the rest of his career, those four clubs come from across Europes with offers to go to France via Saint Etienne and Caen, Standard Liege believed to be keen to take him to Belgium and Rijeka eyeing a move to bring him to Croatia.

If Forest do want to let go of their player, then they won't be short of options in terms of selling him on. With all four sides keen to do business, it could end up down to who offers the most and which option Drager likes most.

If he isn't going to get game-time in England, then a move away could be the best option for him this month - and it could be 'take your pick' for the defender before the window closes.

The Verdict

Mohamed Drager has looked solid in the past and Nottingham Forest do have themselves a decent defensive option with the player but he just isn't getting a look-in with the club's first-team.

The player can't spend forever sat on the substitutes bench and if that is what the future holds for him in the Championship, then it might be best for both parties to go their separate ways. The player was also signed before Steve Cooper took over and the new boss might not see him as part of his plans.

If he doesn't, then Drager has plenty of options in terms of where to go next. He could arguably get much more regular football at any of the four interested sides, so a deal could be done before the window closes.

Nottingham Forest haven't let him have a sniff of action as of yet and if the player wants to play football, then they may have no choice but to let him depart before the deadline on Monday.
