Nottingham Forest eyeing yet another signing with Premier League midfielder on radar

Nottingham Forest are considering making a January move for Crystal Palace midfielder Jason Puncheon.

According to a report in the Bristol Post sourced from the Sun, the Reds are keen on signing the versatile midfielder, who has struggled for game time with the Eagles this season thus far.

Puncheon is to be allowed to leave Palace after faling to agree a move on deadline day, and Reds manager Aitor Karanka will no doubt be keen to pursue a deal for the 32-year-old, who has been a mainstay of the Palace squad for a number of seasons now.

Forest have already brought in a whole host of new signings over the summer as Karanka has completely overhauled his squad as he seeks to win promotion to the Premier League.

The likes of Diogo Goncalves, Joao Carvalho, and Lewis Grabban have all moved to the City Ground, however a sluggish start to the campaign has seen Karanka come under a small amount of pressure already, and it appears he is already making plans for the winter window.

Puncheon has been with Palace since 2014 and has made well in excess of 100 appearances in what has largely been a successful period for the former Southampton man.

Forest fans, what do you think? Would Puncheon be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
