Nottingham Forest are trying to sign Blackburn Rovers winger Connor Mahoney, according to HITC.

Forest boss Mark Warburton is yet to make his first signing as Nottingham Forest boss and the Blackburn youngster may well be a player that joins the East Midlands club.

The 20-year-old is out of contract at Ewood Park at the end of the month and despite suffering relegation at the end of last season, Mahoney was one of the stand out players in a poor Blackburn side.

One area The Reds need to invest in is on the flanks and Mahoney would certainly bring some quality to Mark Warburton’s attacking arsenal.

Forest are unlikely to splash the cash despite having new owners and with Mahoney available on a free transfer at the end of the month, you sense that a deal could be likely.

Mahoney will undoubtedly want to continue his development in the Championship and Nottingham Forest would be the perfect club for this.

Nottingham Forest fans… Would Mahoney be a good signing? Is he the sort of player that you should be targeting? Who else should the club try and sign? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
