Nottingham Forest were unlucky not to get a second win in as many games last night as they drew with West Brom thanks to a late Jay Rodriguez penalty for the Baggies.

Certainly, the Reds would have been good value for the win had they held on but, unfortunately for them, they had to settle for a draw.

Even so, recent games have shown some positive signs under Martin O'Neill and fans will hope that that is going to continue for time to come.

Meanwhile, in another nod to the future the Reds have signed Danny Preston onto a new contract with the young player clearly doing enough to impress those at the club:

A good young player, Forest have a number of bright sparks at the club at the moment and bringing them through will be the task of those at the City Ground.

The Verdict

Preston has shown himself to be one of the better young players at the club and there's a feeling he could break into the Forest first-team in due course.

Indeed, the Reds will be looking to get themselves a number of young players into the side in the coming seasons and so this is a nod to that.
