Nottingham Forest defender told he can leave the club

Nottingham Forest defender Dani Pinillos has reportedly been told he is free to leave the club when his contract expires next summer, according to The Scottish Sun.

With his current deal only lasting until the end of the 2016/17 season, Dani Pinillos might be available to sign on a pre-contract agreement this January, with the Scottish Sun reporting that his destination is likely to be abroad.

The 24-year-old started his career in his native Spain, playing for Racing Santander B, Ourense and Cordoba before his release by the latter following their relegation from La Liga in the 2014/15 season.

Pinillos joined Championship outfit Nottingham Forest on trial in July 2015 and soon signed a two year deal with the East Midlands based side after impressing.

The left back enjoyed a decent start to his career in England but sustained a horrific season-ending injury in December 2015 as he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligaments in his knee during a game against Milton Keynes.

The Spaniard returned to action in Nottingham Forest’s recent win over Ipswich but has since suffered another serious injury and these persistent problems are part of the reason that he is not being offered a new deal.
