Starting three different goalkeepers across this campaign, and having conceded 65 goals, Nottingham Forest will certainly be looking to find a starting number one for the start of Championship season.

Sheffield Wednesday gave young goalkeeper Cameron Dawson the starting spot between the sticks for the final three games of the season, and the 22-year-old captivated, bringing a buzz back to Hillsborough, in what was quite a mundane season.

With just 26 appearances spanning his entire professional career, Aitor Karanka’s side wouldn’t be getting an experienced 'keeper, but perhaps it is time they took a punt on someone to get them out of the mid-table rut they have found themselves in.

Either way, we take a look at the stats to see if he would be worth the risk.

Cameron Dawson made just three appearances in goal for Sheffield Wednesday this season, as Joe Wildsmith and Keiren Westwood shared the goalkeeping responsibilities for the majority of the campaign.

But, in the short time Dawson was in the starting lineup, the youngster kept two clean sheet, ending the season with a clean sheet percentage of 66.7, a tally any goalkeeper would be proud of.

The Englishman only had to make five saves across his three matches for the Owls, but he could be one for the future. Due to the lack of game time, it would be a risk or Aitor Karanka’s side. But, with initial stats like these, it might just be worth it.
