Nottingham Forest could be forced to sell both Matty Cash and Joe Worrall if they don't win promotion into the Premier League this season according to Football Insider.

Forest are currently sat fifth in the Championship table, and will be hoping they can make a long-awaited return to the top-flight under Sabri Lamouchi's guidance.

Cash has been a key player for the Reds this term, and has made 39 appearances in all competitions, whilst also chipping in with three goals and four assists.

Whilst Worrall has established himself as one of the first names on the team-sheet for Nottingham Forest, and has made 39 appearances in his first season back at the club, after previously being out on loan with Scottish giants Rangers.

According to Football Insider, West Ham have been long-term admirers of Cash, although it remains to be seen as to whether they will make a formal bid for the right-back in the summer.

Due to recent off-the-field events, all fixtures in the EFL have been called to a halt, with no scheduled return date being set as of yet.

With nine league games still to play though, Forest will be keen to find some much-needed consistency in their results heading towards the conclusion of this year's campaign.

The Verdict:

This will certainly put the pressure on them to win promotion into the Premier League this season.

Both Cash and Worrall have been key to Nottingham Forest's strong league campaign so far, and Sabri Lamouchi will know that if they aren't to win promotion, then a number of his prize assets could be leaving in the summer.

The likes of Cash in particular have shown that they have the quality to be playing at a higher level than the Championship, and interest in his services will certainly increase if Forest are to be condemned to yet another season in the second tier of English football.

It'll be a nervy summer transfer window at The City Ground if they don't return to the top-flight this term.
