Sky Bet Championship outfit Nottingham Forest are considering a loan move for Arsenal academy prospect Alex Iwobi, a club insider from Forest has informed Football League World.
The Nigerian-born striker could be set to embark on a loan spell away from the Gunners with boss Arsene Wenger seemingly keen for the player to cut his teeth in the world of professional football, and FLW have been informed that Forest are one of a number of Championship clubs interested in the striker.
The 19-year-old is the nephew of ex-Bolton Wanderers player Jay-Jay Okocha and netted nine goals in the final nine games of last season for the Gunners Under-21’s team.
Iwobi was rewarded for his fine performances for the youngsters with a place on the first-team bench for last season’s Champions League game with Galatasaray, and also traveled with the side for a pre-season tour of Singapore, earlier in the summer.
Forest currently sit in 12th position in the Sky Bet Championship table, having amassed 11 points from eight league games so far this season.
