Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Hibernian striker Jason Cummings, the club’s official website has confirmed.

The fee for the 21-year-old Scot is undisclosed, but it represents a shrewd capture by Reds manager Mark Warburton, who has been tracking the forward since his days with Rangers.

Cummings fired in 21 goals last season as Hibernian sealed the title in the Scottish Championship, and he will be looking to bring that sort of form to the City Ground and take the pressure off Forest striker Britt Assombalonga.

Capped at under-21 and under-19 level for his country, Cummings will no doubt have one eye on a full call up Gordon Strachan’s senior Scotland outfit, and a move to the Championship will do his chances no harm at all.

Forest confirmedĀ he has signed a three-year deal with the club, and he will no doubt be looking to hit the ground running when he joins up with his new teammates for pre-season.

Forest fans, what do we think? Good signing? Give us your thoughts in the comments!
