Nottingham Forest bring former League One manager into coaching setup

Sky Bet Championship side Nottingham Forest have reportedly given former Port Vale and Northampton Town boss Rob Page a role in the coaching team at the City Ground, according to HITC Sport.

The former Sheffield United defender was sacked by the Cobblers earlier this month after a poor run of results, but will now work as a first-team coach alongside current interim boss Gary Brazil at Forest.

Page might be on the touchline for Nottingham Forest’s trip to Leeds United on Wednesday.

He is highly regarded within the coaching world having worked his through the ranks at Port Vale before being appointed manager there in 2014, but made the switch to Sixfields after Chris Wilder went to Bramall Lane.

Brazil is amongst the favourites to be named full-time boss at the Championship club and proved his worth after guiding his team to a 1-0 victory over Bristol City at the weekend, thanks to a wonder strike from Ben Osborn.

Forest fans, what do you make of Rob Page being brought in? Is it a positive move or could the club have done better? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments below!
