The Nottingham Post report that Forest manager Gary Brazil has attempted to increase Gboly Ariyibi’s confidence in earning a first-team place.
Ariyibi arrived on deadline day last month but has failed to appear for the manager’s side since penning a deal at the City Ground, for an undisclosed fee from League One outfit Chesterfield.
The 22-year-old has heavily featured in Nottingham Forest’s under-23 side and Gary Brazil has been impressed by the winger’s performances, and it’s only a matter of time before he makes an impact in the senior camp.
Talking to the newspaper, Brazil said ”From our point of view as we sit down and select the team, Gboly is not far away from being involved.”
Gboly Ariyibi signed for the Championship club following his consistent displays in the division below, despite Chesterfield lingering in the relegation zone.
The United States of America under-23 international also spent time at Leeds United before his move to the Spireites in 2014.
The boss also mentioned Ariyibi may be featured in the first-team in the near future. “He has the right attitude and he is not far away.”
