Nottingham Forest attacker discusses the future after back-to-back losses

Nottingham Forest striker Tyler Walker believes that the club will return to winning ways after suffering back-to-back losses, the Notitngham Post is reporting.

Young star Tyler Walker believes that the club will bounce back from defeats against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea rather than having their season derailed by this.

After a fast start to the season, a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Wolves saw them drop down to 10th in the league but the Reds are eyeing a swift return to the top six as they continue to harbour ambitions of achieving a play-off spot at least.

Forest then travelled to Chelsea in the week where they lost 5-1 against the Premier League champions in the Carabao Cup.

Tyler Walker has denied that this has affected the mood in the camp.

The 20-year-old, who is enjoying a successful breakthrough campaign and started against Chelsea, believes that the team spirit is high and the players have a lot of faith in their quality and Mark Warburton’s tactics.

He said:

“The mood has been very positive under the new regime.

“The players have quality, the team spirit is really good.

“It is really good to be a part of this squad.

“We want to show our quality on the pitch.

“We do feel as though we are close, we have the squad and players to be a success.

“The players we have are good – there are no two ways about that.”

The Verdict

Tyler Walker is right to call for calm; two losses in a row is not disastrous and Nottingham Forest do have the quality to come back stronger.

A victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park would do a lot for the confidence in this relatively young squad.

They face a tough match tonight but have the ability to pick up all three points.
