Leicester City midfielder Andy King could leave the club on loan with a host of clubs chasing his signature, according to reports.

According to The Sun journalist Phil Cadden, King is a loan target for four clubs today, with Nottingham Forest and Stoke City among them.

King has been with Leicester since he joined their academy back in 2004 and he has gone on to rack up nearly 400 senior appearances for the Foxes in all competitions.

But the Wales international is slipping down the pecking order at The King Power Stadium and he was loaned out to Swansea City last season.

After impressing with two goals in 11 games - but failing to keep his side up - he is being lined up for a potential return to Swansea.

However, the Swans face a major battle from bitter rivals Cardiff City, who are back in the Premier League and hoping to sign King.

Nottingham Forest and Stoke are also keen on the 29-year-old, who plays as a central midfielder.

The Verdict

For any Championship side, King would be an excellent addition.

He offers a rounded game and plenty of experience so bringing him in on loan would be a shrewd piece of business.

Swansea could be his preferred destination as he is known by the fans and they do need another central midfielder.
