With Glasgow Rangers set to sign Hull City's Allan McGregor, goalkeeper Wes Foderingham could be made available for transfer.

And, according to The Scottish Sun, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday are tracking Foderingham ahead of a possible summer move.

Foderingham has been at Rangers since 2015, joining the Scottish giants from Swindon Town.

The 27-year-old has made over 100 appearances for Rangers but his time at Ibrox could now be coming to an end with McGregor set to undergo a medical today ahead of his free transfer from Hull.

Foderingham could be set to return to England, where he played for Fulham, Crystal Palace and Swindon - in addition to numerous loan spells - before moving to Scotland.

Nottingham Forest were interested in the former England under-19 international last summer, when ex Rangers manager Mark Warburton was at the helm, and it is thought that they are monitoring his situation ahead of a possible move for the 2018/19 campaign.

Sheffield Wednesday, meanwhile, are also interested in Foderingham and could make a move if star man Keiren Westwood leaves to join Southampton in the summer transfer window.

Foderingham will be entering the final year of his Rangers contract going into next season and could be available for a relatively cheap price.

The Verdict

If Sheffield Wednesday's Westwood leaves, their goalkeeper options are two promising young Englishmen in Cameron Dawson and Joe Wildsmith but perhaps Jos Luhukay wants an experienced option as well. Forest need a goalkeeper this summer with Jordan Smith being a bit erratic between the posts. If they fail to snap up Costel Pantilimon on a permanent deal, Aitor Karanka's men could benefit from having Foderingham in goal.
