Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough are believed to still be keen on a deal to sign Liverpool defender Nat Phillips according to Goal.
Phillips is unlikely to be anywhere near the Liverpool first-team this season, and the club are clearly keen to find him regular game time elsewhere this season.
But with the summer transfer window closing on Friday, interested parties will have to work on a deal to sign Phillips in the near future.
Nottingham Forest are clearly keen to add to their squad before the transfer window closes, with the Reds currently sat 22nd in the Championship table, after not picking up a single point in their opening four matches of the season.
Whilst Neil Warnock's Middlesbrough are also interested in signing Phillips, as they look to add depth to their defensive options this week.
Boro are currently sat tenth in the Championship table, and will be hoping they can pick up a win this weekend, although it won't be easy, as they take on an in-form Reading side at the Riverside.
Whilst Nottingham Forest take on Blackburn Rovers, in what is certain to be a tough test for Chris Hughton in his first match in charge of the Reds.

The Verdict:
It could be an interesting few days ahead.
With the summer transfer window slamming shut on Friday, clubs will be looking to add depth to their squads, and Phillips would certainly provide that for both Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest.
Middlesbrough are more likely to be able to offer him regular game time, and I think Phillips will be looking for consistent minutes this season out on loan.
He isn't going to be anywhere near the Liverpool starting XI, so it makes sense for him to head out on loan for the 2020/21 season.
