Nottingham Forest ace Joe Lolley provides fresh injury update

Published

on

Joe Lolley has moved to provide an injury update after suffering a hamstring tear last week.

It has been a frustrating campaign for Lolley on a personal level, with the winger enduring problems with injury.

Lolley has made 28 appearances in the Championship this season, but only 16 of those have been starts and he has contributed to only four goals in total.

Lolley did show glimpses of his old self in a positive first half performance against Reading last week, but pulled up with a hamstring injury shortly before the interval.

The City Ground has been home to Forest since 1862

The winger had suffered a hamstring tear, and was due to be sent to a specialist to learn the extent of his injury before having surgery.

Lolley has now had that surgery, though, and took to Instagram to post a story and reveal that he had undergone a successful operation.

Lolley is still likely to be out for the rest of the season, but will be hoping to get his injury sorted so that he can have a successful pre-season.

The Verdict

You have to feel sorry for Lolley as it has been a frustrating season with injury and he hasn’t been able to perform to the best of his ability.

He was excellent against Reading and was starting to look like the Joe Lolley Forest fans all know and love.

The thing he has to focus on now is recovering from an injury, having a healthy pre-season and hitting the ground running in the 2021/22 campaign under Chris Hughton.
