Nottingham Forest defender Tendayi Darikwa has posted an update on social media as continues his recovery from a serious knee injury.
The 27-year-old has missed the start of the season after suffering a ruptured ACL and underwent surgery on his right knee a few weeks ago.
The right-back has now posted an update on social media as he continues his recovery and has posted a video of himself on an exercise bike on his personal Instagram account, as he continues to work his way back to full fitness.
Darikwa has been an important player for Nottingham Forest over the past couple of seasons and made 28 appearances in the Championship last term.
Nottingham Forest finished ninth in the Championship under Martin O’Neill last season, but have made a positive start to the campaign under new head coach Sabri Lamouchi and are unbeaten in their last nine matches in all competitions.
This is good news for Darikwa. He’s been an important player for Nottingham Forest over the past few seasons and it was a major blow for him to suffer such a serious injury so close to the start of the new campaign.
It’s been a frustrating few weeks for the defender, but it’s good news that he’s making positive progress towards his recovery, although it’ll be some time before he’s ready to make his return to first-team action.
Nottingham Forest have made a positive start to the season to the new season, so Darikwa has the motivation to return and he’ll be determined to make an impact when he does make his comeback.
