Wolves are looking on course for promotion after victory at Birmingham last time out stretched their lead over third place to ten points.

Despite that, Cardiff City only trail the Black Country side by four points and whilst promotion is the chief objective, there's no doubt everyone connected with Wolves will be hoping for the title given the way they've played this season.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men have been a joy to watch at times and average over two goals a game, with the likes of Leo Bonatini, Diogo Jota and Ivan Cavaleiro proving too much for most opponents.

After a big summer spend, Wolves are expected to go again, but how much do they need to invest in order to secure the title?

We take a look...

George Dagless

Very little!

In my eyes it's all about who is going to come 2nd in the Championship now because Wolves look so strong.

A new striker might be something they are interested in and they have the clout to go £10m-£15m if they need to.

Adam Simeoni

Wolves will spend big in January, but on players already at the club.

I can see a new striker coming in and perhaps a central midfielder, but with Diogo Jota and Bonatini expected to sign on permanent deals, I can see the £25 million mark being broken in January.

Alfie Burns

Nothing, I can’t see anybody stopping Nuno’s side.

However, Wolves look set to spend big on securing Diogo Jota and Leo Bonatini on permanent deals, which is credit to them.

Nuno might also want to add another striker to his squad, but you get the feeling that plans are already getting made for the Premier League, rather than securing the title.

For me, promotion is already in the bag.
