One of Derby County's biggest success stories this season in Colin Kazim-Richards has penned a new deal at Pride Park until the end of next season.

Kazim-Richards was brought into the fold by Phillip Cocu in October in what was the Dutchman's final transfer made before he was sacked a month later, but it's proven to be a very good move.

The striker could be classed as a 'journeyman' due to the amount of clubs he's played at in his career, but his talents have seen him go to the likes of Sheffield United, Celtic, Fenerbahce, Feyenoord and Corinthians.

In the last few years, Kazim-Richards has scored goals in Mexico's top division, but the time came for him to return to England last year.

It took a good month for the 34-year-old to force his way into the starting line-up at Pride Park, but Kazim-Richards hasn't looked back since getting his chance.

28 games and seven goals since his signing has forced Derby's hand in terms of a new contract to keep him around for the foreseeable future, and even in his mid-30's Kazim-Richards doesn't show any signs of slowing down.

He will remain a key focal point for the Rams until the end of the season and beyond, and their fans are delighted that he's been tied down until 2022 - check out their reaction.
