Helder Costa has struggled for consistency for Leeds United since arriving in the summer, leading to many questioning the reported agreed fee of £15million.

The Portuguese winger arrived at Elland Road with lofty expectations after setting the Championship alight with Wolves a couple of seasons ago but struggled to hit the ground running right away with Pablo Hernandez taking the spotlight early on.

Hernandez’s injury gave Costa a huge opportunity to nail down a first-team spot but he failed to make a telling impact and Hernandez regained his spot. However, Costa managed to find form around late November and December in the midst of Leeds’ seven-game winning run, showing much more impetus in his attacking play.

He has just three goals and one assist to his name in 28 Championship appearances this season, which is very underwhelming, given his price tag mentioned previously.

Costa’s last outing came in Leeds very disappointing 1-0 defeat away to QPR on Saturday afternoon, and his impact in the final third was completely lacking throughout the game, in a match where Leeds needed to make the most of their domination to keep the chasing pack at arm’s length.

Costa’s main glimmer was an early penalty shout from Lee Wallace’s challenge before being targeted for multiple fouls during the game, without making any real influence on the result.

The game sparked a lot of reaction from Leeds fans over the weekend and Costa’s performances have left a lot questioning his impact since making the move to Leeds this season. Here, we take a look at how fans reacted to the question about his time at Leeds so far...
