West Brom will be hoping they can maintain the form that has seen them up to second in the Championship as they return from the international break and prepare for the trip to Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

Baggies manager Darren Moore has assembled a squad capable of being in the shake-up for promotion to the Premier League, but may be concerned by the comments of his technical director Luke Dowling.

Dowling told The Birmingham Mail that key players could be sold for the right price in January, highlighting how the Baggies had failed to cash in on players in the past. He used the example of defender Jonny Evans, who Leicester City bid £23m for in the summer of 2017, the bid was rejected but the player them went to the Foxes in the following May when they activated a £3.5m relegation release clause.

So is this transfer news worrying for West Brom fans?

Not worrying, it is logical.

West Brom are in a good position at present but with not many players leaving in the summer and plenty of new arrivals, the books need to be balanced.

This is just a byproduct of their summer activity - it was inevitable.

Which players will be sold remains to be seen but one thing for sure is, it will need to be done to prevent West Brom from falling foul of the Financial Fair Play rules.

Not really, they’re obviously still ambitious.

I suppose much depends on where they are in the table at the time.

If promotion looks to be a big ask, then they’ll cash in.

Come on, if someone offered £25m for Rodriguez, they could replace him for £10m.

It is a bit but I don't think he's said anything that will particularly irk.

I'd be surprised if they started letting players go as they could be just a few months away from a return to the Premier League in January.

If a big bid comes in they'll be tempted but I could only see massive money making them budge in reality.
