Stoke City have been linked with a move for Ryan Woods.
The Telegraph reports that Woods could move to Stoke from Brentford on an initial loan deal before the end of the window with a view to completing a £6.5m permanent switch to the bet365 Stadium.
Stoke's summer spending is not over just yet with Gary Rowett keen to strengthen his squad, despite already spending big this summer and bringing in a number of players.
Woods is the latest player to catch his eye, after Swansea City missed out on the midfield man in the regular transfer window.
The 24-year-old, who has spent three seasons at Griffin Park after moving from Shrewsbury Town and has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the division.
Last season, he won the Supporters' Player of the Year award and picked up the Players' Player of the Year award in the season before.
