It was a bitterly disappointing afternoon for Nottingham Forest, who fell to a terrible 4-0 defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.

The Reds have been hugely underwhelming since returning from the international break, picking up just one win in their last five games heading into Saturday's clash.

After being held to a disappointing 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough in midweek, Sabri Lamouchi would have been urging his side to get back to their best against Wednesday.

But Forest produced another toothless display and crashed to their highest home defeat in over eight years against the rampant Owls.

In the 45th minute of the contest, they found themselves 4-0 down after Steven Fletcher's close-range effort, in a half where Forest were dominated from start to finish.

Jordan Rhodes scored a 28-minute hat-trick to fire the Owls into a quickfire 3-0 lead which stunned the City Ground crowd.

Michael Dawson has somewhat flattered to deceive since returning to the starting line-up, and the experienced defender has come under criticism after his inability to contain Rhodes.
