Luke Shaw has been commenting on the nationwide debate of whether the 2019/20 season should become null and void, with the opinion of the defender not sitting well with supporters of Leeds United.

Leeds currently sit top of the Championship table and are desperate to see the season finished, as they look to win promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

Yet, there are calls for the season to be deemed null and void due to the outbreak of coronavirus, with many thinking public health should come before the football season.

That’s the view of Manchester United full-back, Shaw, who called for the season to be scrapped.

“Scrap it and start again. Start it again,” said Shaw during a Combat Corona Twitch FIFA competition, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“It’s got to be. If we can’t carry it on, it’s got to be void.
