‘Not the way we work’ – 8 things Leeds supporters are saying as transfer edges closer

It’s been a summer of exits so far at Elland Road, with Leeds United trimming the fringe of Marcelo Bielsa’s playing squad.
A lack of arrivals have been matched by a sea of departures, with more set to follow in the coming weeks.
Reports from Expressen in Sweden have confirmed that Marcus Antonsson is the latest player to edge his way closer to the exit door, with the Swedish striker poised to join Malmo.
The 27-year-old has been on Leeds’ books for two years, but has managed just 21 appearances for the Whites and a loan spell away from the club with Blackburn Rovers.
Antonsson’s last appearance for Leeds came back in January 2017 under Garry Monk, with the striker not featuring in the plans of Leeds’ last three head-coaches.
Here is a look at the reaction to Antonsson’s pending departure…
Id imagine its likely to be an undisclosed 'minimal' fee or may even see a mutual termination? He isnt a bad player, just doesnt fit in with our formations as a singular lone Striker, he really is a striker who plays best alongside someone in a traditional 4-4-2.

10 players out & only 1 in, nearly 2 in albeit young loans. Pre season games frm next wk. Is Radz happy? Kinnear/Orta happy? Bielsa happy? Doesnt feel like the majority of fans are that happy right now. #LUFC #centenaryyear

I’m beginning to think this might be the smallest squad in the league. Intriguing. Injuries, anyone?

Surely we MUST have a striker/strikers lined up Adam.

Hope it’s a permanent move for a fee but that’s not the way we work

Many are happy to see Antonsson leave, after the striker really struggled to adapt in England.
However, there are a number of fans believing that the Swedish striker wasn’t handed a fair chance.
