Brentford manager Thomas Frank will be preparing for another season in the Championship and will be hoping he can hold onto star-forward Neal Maupay, with Norwich City just one of a number of clubs throughout Europe interested in the striker, as reported in the Evening Standard.

Maupay enjoyed a fine season at Griffin Park under Frank and with two years left on his current deal, it is expected that the 22-year-old will command a considerable fee from potential suitors.

But would Maupay make it into the Canaries' current starting XI?

We discuss........

Ben Lang

"I don't expect Farke to change his formation next season, so I can't see Maupay getting in the side ahead of Pukki.

"Pukki was sublime last season and he deserves his chance to lead the line as Norwich's sole striker in the top tier.

"However, I think Maupay's pace, trickery and finishing means that he could be well suited to the Premier League and may give Farke something to think about."

Kealan Hughes

"He has a lot to do to prove he is better than Teemu Pukki. The pair could create a great partnership up front but it seems that Daniel Farke prefers a lone striker.

"Maupay is a great poacher and would be ideal from the bench when Norwich are chasing games, which could happen quite often next year.

"Given a run in the team I think Maupay would impress enough to make that lone striker role his own, so hopefully he gets that chance to show what he can do."

Louie Chandler

"Not straight away.

"Norwich's attack last season was one of the most effective in England so it will be a tough ask for anyone to break into it.

"But, Maupay is clearly a very talented striker and I am sure would manage to weave his way in eventually."

Gary Hutchinson

“Absolutely, imagine him and Pukki up front together.

“He’s a schemer, he’s tricky and remember at the beginning of last season he was on fire.

“With better players around him, he could be a 20-goal a season striker, even in the top flight.

“This would be wonderful business.”

Jacob Potter

"He’d be a certain starter.

"But it would mean that Daniel Farke would have to change his style of play.

"There’s no way that Teemu Pukki is going to be dropped anytime soon, but Maupay could partner him up-front.

"What an exciting partnership this could become, and the Canaries should be doing everything they can to sign Maupay in the summer."
