It's certainly going to be an interesting summer transfer window ahead for Leeds United, as they could well be preparing for life in the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are currently sat top of the Championship table, and will be keen to extend their seven-point advantage over third-placed Fulham as the season heads towards a conclusion.

It's recently been revealed by Leeds Live's Beren Cross that the young defender Leif Davis almost moved to League One side Blackpool on loan during the January transfer window, but for one reason or another, the move failed to materialise.

The full-back has struggled for game time with the Leeds senior team this season, making just five appearances for the Yorkshire-based side as they continue to impress in the second tier.

Plenty of the Elland Road faithful took to the 'Leeds Media' Facebook group to issue their thoughts on whether Davis should be sent out on loan or not next season.

Take a look at the best of the reaction below....

Geoff Tait: "Get him playing."

Liam McCarthy: "Yes. Stacked with options at LB so better him playing elsewhere for development."

Are Mathisen: "Play him. Let Douglas go. Have Alioski for back-up."

Martin Martin: "Not ready, definitely not ready for the PL if we go there. Loan."

Connor Swain: "Play him! Young talent! Very good player in my opinion."

Mohamad Hisham: "Davis has the potential to be our first choice LB next season, especially with Douglas and Alioski failing to make the position their own when they had the chance. Shame Davis has been unlucky with injuries over these last two years."

Nick Hrisa: "Yeah Championship/League One Loan. He will do well."

Heimir Hjartason: "Davis is a very good player who will only get better. Play him and Dallas in left-back."
